Hi all with the below data set I want to show incremental amounts of project spend. As per example project A launched on 01/01/2023 data was captured about spend on 20/02/2023 total of 7,000 meaning over 7 weeks each week was approximately 1,000. See the Chart examples that I want to create with this data. Thank you so much for your help, the below is simple in Excel, but not sure how to do the weekly incremental in Power BI.
Data in Query format | ||
Project | Total Costs | Date Captured |
A | 0 | 01/01/2023 |
A | 7,000 | 20/02/2023 |
A | 13,000 | 15/03/2023 |
B | 0 | 26/12/2022 |
B | 4000 | 15/01/2023 |
B | 10,000 | 28/01/2023 |
Hi,
Share the download link of the MS Excel file with formulas intact there so that your logic can be understood. Also share the PowerBI file with your raw data loaded. Also, ensure that in the PowerBI file, there is a Calendar Table with a week number column.
Please specify what you mean by "week" . Does your data model include a calendar table that has week numbers?
