Creating a Forecast P&L by month using actual & budget

I'm looking to create a blended P&L by month that shows Actuals up through the month selected by a slicer and then budget for the remainder of the year, but I have no idea how to make that work.

please check the below picture and the sample pbix file's link down below.

I tried to create a sample based on the explanation.

I suggest having a separate slicer table like below.

Sales Total =
CALCULATE (
SUM ( Sales[Sales] ),
FILTER ( Dates, Dates[Date] <= MAX ( SlicerTable[Date] ) )
)
 
 
Budget Total =
CALCULATE (
SUM ( Budget[Budget] ),
FILTER ( Dates, Dates[Date] > MAX ( SlicerTable[Date] ) )
)
