A third party are supplying files to us via their Managed File Transfer solution, which allows connectivity via a web browser through HTTPS connection. In a browser, this connection prompts for a user name and password which I have and they work fine.
In PBI Desktop, if I "get data" from web, go for a "Basic Connection" and I specify the https URL, the user name and the password, I get a message back saying the credentials are invalid.
I dont know if this is a limitation of Power BI Desktop, or a limitation of the third party's server access...
Any ideas what might be going wrong here, or how to validate further....?
Thanks
Gerard
