We have a situation where at least 2 developers want to update a report (PBIX file). I am one of the deves and use PBI Desktop. The other person uses the PBI service. What we have found is that I publish a report to the workspace, then the other user makes edits, I need to update my local copy of the report before I work on it. However I noticed when I download the PBIX from PBI Service it has no queries, and no data in the PBIX file (when I looked at the file size) which are critical to making changes.
A PBI Pipeline just makes several different stages for a PBIX report: Dev stage, Test stage and production. Since I'm not an admin I cannot find much more about the pipeline but it doesn't look like it managers multiple devs on a single PBIX file.
What are the best practices for managing this situation?
