Adding hour and minute granularity to a PBI model

Hello Community,

From modelling perspective, how would you handle a calendar dimension with a granularity of either hourly or minute?

I've expanded my Date dimension to also include a Hour and a Minute col
I've added a timestamp with a minute granularity to both my Calendar and Fact table to use as key since Date would now be many-to-many.

Now, I cannot mark the Calendar as date table because the date col is not unique and my results sliced daily no longer works.

Is it possible to both work with days, hours and minutes in the same model ?

Hi @BIanon,

I prefer to use a seperate Time dimension. I split the datetime in any fact table into diffent columns. In this case the date dimension can be marked as a datetable.
