Posted Same question there;
I am trying to Fetch Data from 20 different tables on Sybase Database using Azure Data Factory
Copy Activity Details
Source - Sybase database
Source tab Query - select * from
Destination - Azure Blob Storage (csv delimited text)
Error Details - Failure happened on 'Source' side. ErrorCode=UserErrorFailedFileOperation,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.HybridDeliveryException,Message=The file operation is failed, upload file failed at path: 'BlobPath/tablename.csv'.,Source=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common,''Type=Microsoft.Data.Mashup.MashupValueException,Message=Sybase SQL Anywhere: Invalid data conversion,Source=Microsoft.MashupEngine,'
Error occurs for 8 out of 20 tables, The issue has only started occurring only after SAP upgrade from 4.2 to 4.3 on a new VM This was working fine in the old system till last week.
FYI - Error Message says 'Invalid data conversion' - - Why does it matter what datatype we use at source when destination is a csv file.
Any help would be useful here.
Thanks
Hi, @pranjaljainThanks for posting your question in Microsoft Fabric Community.
Your question is more related to Azure Data factory you can also try posting in the Microsoft Q&A forum here
Also can you confirm if you mean Azure Data Factory or Fabric Data Factory ? This forum is for the latter. If its ADF, please log a support ticket from Azure.
Thank you, I did not know there was something called as a Fabric Data Factory as well. Thanks, I've raised a case with Azure support.
Would you mind filling a support case for this? We'll need engineering to track this one down. Thank you!
