Power BI Premium "embedded mode"

Does Power BI Premium "embedded mode" provide a different authentication / authorization architecture to "SaaS mode"? I would like to be able to prevent any access to an app workspace except through the REST Api / my app.

 

Where can I find information about "embedded mode" Power BI Premium, and its roadmap?

@trevorgermainThis is the main page for embedding with links to many other places. Should help a bit. There are no published roadmaps to my knowledge.
