On-prem gateway keeps asking for sign in

Good day, 

This is starting to happen more frequently.
The data set is not refreshing and I get the following:

I then log into the server and the gateway requires a sign in. Upon signing in and refreshing on demand the problem is solved. 
I've seen discussions around this topic but cannot seem to find the solution. 

Any one with a similar issue and solution?

Sign in is not required for the standard functions of the gateway.  The only requirement is that the gateway service is running on that VM.

Check your network environment. Talk to the network team about DNS and Proxy, ask them if anything has changed recently.  Most of these issues are caused by DNS.  ("There is no way it could be DNS. It was DNS.")

If your network team claims everything is fine and you have a Pro license you can consider raising a Pro ticket at https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/pro/

@lbendlin thanks for the advice. Apparently the infrastructure team had some problem on Azure. Currently I am still investigating.
