Hello,
I have a service principle (via a registered app) that I can successfull call powerbi rest api calls with (For example, calls located here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin). However, I am unable to make fabric api calls (such as calls located here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/fabric/admin/items/list-items?tabs=HTTP).
I have tried different scopes, such as ["https://api.fabric.microsoft.com/.default"].
I have also explored API permissions for my registered app but I do not see anything for fabric api (just powerbi).
I have also ensured that fabric api is enabled for the tenant under PowerBI admin.
Can someone help explain how to enable access to the fabric api?
Hi @ceindev ,
To use the Microsoft Fabric REST APIs with a user, you need to acquire an Microsoft Entra token with delegated scopes.
The scopes required by the API are listed in the Required Delegated Scopes section in the API reference page.

Can this be done using a service principal? The above scopes are not available in Azure under App Registrations.

The example code microsoft gives uses "PublicClientApplication.AcquireTokenInteractive". I need to be able to access fabric apis in a similar way that I access the rest of the powerbi rest apis. That is, within a batch service without user intervention. Is this possible?
