I wanted to create a dashboard to monitor an ArcGIS map build in Power BI desktop so that I know when the token is expired, I need to go to Power BI Service to login to ArcGIS again.
What is the best way to do that? I have built one and subscribed to the dashboard, but when I got the email every morning the email says the map cannot be exported. As a result, I couldn't really monitor the map this way effectively.
Hi @ELIU ,
Instead of waiting for the token to expire, consider setting a reminder or using a scheduling tool external to Power BI to periodically refresh the ArcGIS token before it expires. I think you can check out this documentation for more information: Permission tokens needed to embed a Power BI app - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
While the direct map export in the subscription email doesn't work as expected, you can still use the subscription email as a reminder to manually check the dashboard in the Power BI service. If the map does not load as expected, it may indicate that the token has expired and you need to log back into ArcGIS.
Best Regards
