Unable to apply settings in Power BI Desktop

Hello,

I'm unable to apply the settings modifications in Power BI Desktop (June 2023) x64. I'm under Windows 11 Pro with admin rights on the laptop.

When I make changes in options, then I click the "OK" button on the bottom right but the "Feature requires a restart" window doesn't appear. So I can never apply changes.

I reinstall several times either from Store or directly from setup.

My system is up to date.

If you have any hints, I'll be glad.

Based on your description, I tested your problem. My Desktop has been updated to the latest version, and when I click OK after applying certain functions inside Options, a corresponding alert box pops up.

You need uninstall the Desktop completely in Control Panel , download the installation package from the Download Center and reinstall it .

Thank you for your answer. I tried one more time to uninstall and reinstall but didin't work.

However, I finally found the origin of the problem and solved it.

The popup didn't appear because there was a parameter which had an error. I would like to point out that I didn't change this value in error, this was the value after the installations.

After I changed the max memory from 432 to 336, the popup appeared when I tried to change other parameters.

What is strange is that parameter was not a problem until I tried to change another one and there was no other popup telling there was an error somewhere. I had to check each page to find where it was.

I found the idea on internet with people who where having the same issue has me but with another parameter.
