Unexpected failure when opening Pbix files - need help

Hi Team,

While opening power bi pbix files I got very often "Unexpected failure: True" error and not able to open any version of the file.

Hi @kubaL ,

Can you try clearing your POwer BI cache on the following location and then try again as this error doesn't give me any insight?

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop

Also was this file opening earlier? Did you make any chnages after which it stopped opening?

I've cleared this folder. but problem is the same.

We didn't make any changes.

from web browser refreshing of this dataset is working

Hi @kubaL ,

Can you try one more thing?

1. Open Power BI application on your Windows machine.
2. Then open this pbix file from here rather than directly opening this pbix file.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter from which side I open this file...

In that case I will suggest raising a support ticket for this issue using the following link:

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

Also for time being DOWNLAOD pbix file from Power BI service which is working and refreshing. And then try opening that downlaoded file and use it.
