Report Usage Metrics - Possible to mix with other data?

Hi,

We currently make use of the Power BI Report Usage Metrics datasets to monitor report usage.  We now have a request to do some exception reporting to work out which users have access to reports but who are not using them.  We have a list of users in our own table, however as the usage datasets come from Power BI, they are in affect 'locked down' (as with all Power BI hosted datasets), so we are unable to add columns, view data model or add extra datasets.

Can anyone think of a way to fulfil this requirement by mixing usage data with our own?

If you mean the usage metrics in admin portal, we can't export it as a pbix and modify it. But there's a workaround, you can build your own usage metrics using O365 audit log, please refer to tutoral video below:

I agree this is a solution but it seems odd that this is still the only solution?
