I am working on a dataset (5 views) available on SQL Server, and i want to use the dataset in direct query mode.
However, I am unable to change the data type of the single column in single views from text to date in power query editor.
I got the following message :
This query contains transformations that can't be used for DirectQuery.
@Rikin-Nayak-007 , It is not all allowed in power query, you can do in Dax using column tools. Click on the column, you should see a new option tab.
In Power BI desktop mode, I am unable to see any columns in direct query mode.
I only wanted to change one of the columns from text data type to date data type, however when I made the change and saved it, the following error appeared.
This query has transformations that are incompatible with DirectQuery.
I can do that in import mode but I got error in direct query mode.
