Try to clean the data load cache: File -> Options and Settings -> Options -> Data Load -> Clear cache and Save the file and Load again

Hi, @Raj_j

Could you check if the file size exceeds 1GB?

Or when it is refreshing the data because of too many queries it is running out memory?

Some basic steps that usually work are:

  • Increase available memory (if you are for example working from a VM)
  • Remove all unnecessary columns in the power query editor
  • Allocate more memory in the data load option in power bi (options > data load)

Calculated (dax) columns are not compressed as well as computed (power query) columns.  You could try and add your columns in power query instead.

Here are more references that may be helpful:

Memory error: Memory Allocation failure

Memory Allocation failure . Try simplifying or reducing the number of Queries

Hi and Thnaks for your response.

I'm not sure on the size of the data as it's coming straight from the database.

I have adjusted my pagefile size to 16gb and Data Load to 2K and i still get the error.

I am running Power Bi 32 bit version as i couldn;t get my ingres odbc connection working for the 64 bit

Thanks

Thanks for you response.

I checked out your first solution before posting but thank you.

For the second solution, it won't let me create a ticket as we are licensed for Microsoft products by a reseller so our Admins are logging it on my behalf.

Thank you
