Latest version became unusably slow after just 2 reports, MS "Support" found nothing wrong

Desktop takes 3 minutes to present opening screen, and a further 3 minutes to bring up any dialog boxes or react to anything, I've tried a fresh install + cleared out the temp and Lucia folders, same wait times.

MS "Support" (first line) agrees there's nothing wrong with my laptop, all hardware/software requirements met, but won't escalate the ticket to a specialist agent.  Task Manager reports PBI Desktop taking 1.3+gb Ram while doing effectively nothing, and it's hogging so much it slows down anything else I'm trying to do  😞

1.It may be affected by your device, you can refer to the following link.

2. Uncheck some of the preloaded content in the data source setting, then restart powerbi destkop.

3.Check that if you run the gateway when you open Power BI Desktop, it will affect the speed, if the gateway is open, close the gateway first.

4.If you have create a report, please use the performance analyzer to trace if the running speed of visual affect it, 

5.You can check the diagnostics of Power BI Desktop, you can collect the diagnostics first then download it.
