Formatting Data on x-axis

Hi all,

How do I get rid of data points on an x-axis?  I want to include the 'Q1 2024' data, which is '0', but I want to get rid of the three columns to the right. Easy to do in excel, but I can't figure out how this would be done in Power BI...

Thanks for any help.

Hi @AlastairC ,

I create a table as you mentioned.

Then I put it into Stacked column chart.

I think you can unselect 2024 Q2,2024 Q3,2024 Q4 in the Filters named Quarter.

Finally you will get what you want.

Perfect! As I suspected, the actual underlying table needs to be reformatted...

Thank you.

Hi @AlastairC
Just simply filter out the values which are blank().

Go to filter > select  month> then filter out blank values().

I hope Q1 2024 has 0 values in it.

Thanks for replying

Unfortunately, the is no 0 data, it is just a blank.. So, filtering blanks would also filter Q1 2024.

If there were any data in the columns, I know I can simply 'remove' columns. But, is there no way to remove empty columns. And the filters are set up by Year then Quarter, so I cannot see a way to filter 2024 Qs 2,3, and 4...
