It's easy for users to overlook applied filters when the filter pane is collapsed. Is it possible to change the filter pane color or highlight the collapsed filter to alert users when they have applied filters?

As far as I'm aware, it not possible to apply conditional formatting to the filter pane (but I like the idea of that approach!).

@luketery You can customize the Filter Pane by clicking on the canvas space and follow the steps in screen shot below.
Thanks, however this doesn't quite address my question.
It is to set conditional formating if a filter is applied. For example, if I have a collapsed filter pane and don't have visibility to what filters are being applied, can I color code the collapsed filter pane as blue/yellow/ etc to highlight to the user that there are filters being applied.
