If you find yourself underwhelmed by Power BI's native data bars in tables and matrices, consider jazzing things up with SVG images instead. Credit goes to Andrzej Leszkiewicz for the original SVG code.
- You can adjust the width of the bars based on the current row percentage to the subtotal or the column total.
- Play around with various color schemes, whether it's a single color, monochromatic, or even technicolor :), or depending on whether the referenced measure returns a negative or positive value.
- Customize the bars further by adding or removing borders.
- Don't forget about changing the pattern inside the bars. Hint: changing the patternTransform attribute in the SVG code changes the orientation of the diagonal lines. Another hint: I asked ChatGPT for help.
