Microsoft Power User Communities:
What is HDI?
For those of you not familiar with HDI, it is the Help Desk Institute (HDI), a professional association created for the technical support professionals. HDI welcomes all members of the support and helpdesk industry and gives them a way to connect and collaborate. Learn more about HDI by watching the HDI Journey video.
"Our mission is to enable and inspire personal and professional growth in the technical support industry by providing programs, support and opportunities to our members that enrich their ability to succeed.” -- HDI
The history of Microsoft and HDI working together goes back several years to when they created complimentary certifications for the support industry. They worked together to improve support center service efficiency and quality with help desk training and certifications.
The local Seattle HDI chapter supports a region that has several large technology companies. Their goal is to provide networking opportunities for individuals who share similar work responsibilities and to share best practices.
