Steve Campbell and Anthony Escobedo do a deep dive into the Power BI DevOps application. This is a simple to use Power App that works with SharePoint to help users check in and check out PBIX files.
While this is not a direct replacement for GIT, it is hands down the best solution for a Business User's code control for PBIX files.
