¿Cómo hacer una columna de mes y año independiente de una columna de fecha?

Hola

Tengo una columna como sigue:

A partir de este collumn me gustaría hacer 2 nueva columna de un año columna (2018, 2019, 2020) y una columna de mes (enero, febrero, etc.).

¿Hay alguna manera de hacer esto?

columna del mes formato (updated_at, "mmmm")
