which of these it the actual Power BI Pro license?

Hello,

We have a bucket under licensing called "Power BI for Office 365". What is this license? (We have an E3 license for the tenant)

My assumption and testing says that the Power BI for Office 365 Add-on is still the Power BI Pro license. Free one, still free. But I can't seem to determine what the third (red arrow) group does.

Thank you in advance!

After looking at the original post, now I just want bacon.

@Anonymous I believe this is the really old license that is no longer applicable. This was the license required when Power BI was part of SharePoint Online... no longer relevant.

Hello, not sure what happened to the title there. Anyway...

Are you saying this is the old one: Power BI for Office 365 Add-on

In my testing that is the only one that gives the Power BI Pro features.  The other does nothing. This one also aligns to what we believe we are paying for.

It the other one is the old one that makes sense. I don't remember seeing until about 4 months ago. But my memory ain't what it used to be.

Actually, if I read the post right it is this one:

Power BI for Office 365

that is no longer used.

The Power BI for Orrice 365 Add-on is the real one.

Which aligns with my tests. As we use an E3 license we need to purchase the add-on.

Thanks for the help and the link! That cleared it up.

@Anonymous LOL. I just re-read the conversation and we did a remarkable job talking about different licenses, but coming to the right conclusion. For some reason I just kept missing the "add-on", I was talking about the "Power BI for Office 365" the entire time.
