where are embed codes with the gallery reports?

Hi,

When I go to find codes to embed the reports in this community's galleries into websites, I only get a generic URL for option to Share. Can I not embed these reports, or are there specific ones I have to find that have opted to make these codes available? I'm hoping to find one with these "iframe" codes to test in a Wordpress blog. Thank you.

Minh

Hi there

What you are looking for is to embed your Power BI reports.

You can click on File where you should see the embed options, either Publish to Web or embed in an external portal.

here are more details to embed in an external portal https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/easily-embed-secure-power-bi-reports-in-your-internal-porta...

Power BI Blog

Hi Gilbert,

Thank you very much for your answer. I think I might have misconveyed my question, though that will be a helpful reference to me as a beginner. I am looking to embed someone else's report into a website. So let's say I saw one of your reports here in the community gallery, and I liked it to want to write about it in a blog. Where I can get the embed code to put it into my blog so my readers could read and look at it at the same time rather than click through a link? I hope that clarifies my question. Thank you.

I think I might have the answer to my own question.

If I wanted to embed someone else's report, I would get their URL from the Share button, and then write iFrame HTML around it to embed it. Is that correct?

I think I was used to various other sites generating the complete HTML for me on different things I could embed, so I was thinking there was a similar option here as well.

Please let me know if I understood this correctly. Thank you.
