PowerBI server is located on on-premise server and Axapta (main DB for business critical apps) that’s running on Azure and they are utilizing same to create reports. Their PBI is storing the data in it’s DB by fetching it from Axapta. Their ask is , if it’s possible to have cache storage gateway on their on-premise? What they want is actual storage data to be on cloud and only the cache data to be available on PBI server to order to create the reports mentioned.

Hi,
As far as I’m concerned, it seems not available in the Power BI gateway now, because the gateway is only acting as a bridge to provide quick and secure data transfer between on-premises data. When your data is on the cloud, you don’t need the gateway and the cache data can not be the data source mapped to the Power BI service
