share a report with one without any Microsoft License

Hello,
I use a power bi trial license
I want to share a report with one user within my company
When he opens the link through the app he gets a message
In order to see content shared with you need a pro license
1. Is there a way to see a joint report without a license
2. If not, how do I buy him a pro license
3. If you need anything more I would love to know
Thank you very much for your help

Hi @Urielpc,

Current power bi includes some sharing features that do not require viewers have corresponding licenses.

#1, Publish to web.

Power bi allows you to use the 'publish to web' feature to share reports with 'public' permission. (notice: these share do not include security options, these contents can be viewed by everyone who knows the share link)

#2, Share these contents to premium capacity.

If you have power bi premium license, you can consider moving the shared contents to premium capacity. Users who viewed these shared contents are not required pro licenses.

Hi and thanks for the reply.
I opened a new account in powerbi
With my domain name for example uriel@demo.com
I have a user a@demo.com and I want to share a report with him
But with RLS.
What should I do?
2 power bi pro license?
What more?
How do I add it to my Powerbi account?
Do I need a Azure license?

Thank you !

HI @Urielpc,

The basic power bi share is pro features, so if you want to share your content with the same tenant users, you need two pro licenses. (both sender and viewer require the license)

You need to share the report to users with 'read' permission and don't forget to assign the RLS role to the users at the power bi service side. (RLS feature not available on the contents that are shared with the 'publish to web' function)

Hi @Urielpc

If you yourself have a trial license how do you think you are going to buy him a license! Licenses are bought through the organization so both of you need licenses, however during this trial (you and him) you can share the report Publicaly using Publis URL, or send him the Pbix  so he can open the file in his desktop.
