search doesn't work on a specific field

Hi,

We have a dashboard displaying information about read articles.

So in our dashboard we add articles as a slicer with a search option. This that doesn't work when we add a word or letter.

Is there a reason why it doesn't work?

It's still working on other fields and very quick.

Can anybody help me?

kind regards?

Davina

I did some furter research on this part.

It is searching through the whole list what i need, every letter or part will be analyzed if it's fit what we searching. So it takes a long time, that the reason why we think it didn't work.

After 1 à 2 min we get the results.

Now we fixed this with an other filter: "text filter" that give us quicker answer on our needs.

Hi @Anonymous

Maybe you can try a more obvious letter to see if you can filter out the content you want. If you can, it means that there is no problem with this field. It's just the letter you searched for before, which is displayed in the following content.

@collinq

Thanks for you quick respons!

In our dashboard we have a article slicer, by when we want to search it does nothing.

Example:

If we give a letter "y" we don't want to see the list like shown, but a complete other list with the letter "y".

kind regards,

Hi @Anonymous ,

Can you please expand that box so I can see the whole row for each item in that screenshot?  I am wondering if the letter "y" is displaying at all in that list of text for each row.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I think that you need to be a bit more specific and/or give us some screenshots.  I am not sure the problem here - the search box is a pretty stable capability.
