Hello All,
I am new to Power BI. In our organization, we are trying to connect power BI to SAP BW system. The connection works absolutely fine when I create it based on an infocube of SAP BW.
In SAP BW, we also have something called as "Multiprovider" which phyisically does not contain any data however acts as a container for multiple infocubes or DSOs etc.
Now, when I create the connection on top of a multiprovider in Power BI, it only shows me "Measure" present in my multiprovider but does not show any "Dimensions" in my multiprovider. I have attached the picture as well for your reference.
I will appreciate any input that you guys can provide.
Thanks,
Nilima
Hi Nilima,
It seems working well in the Desktop. May I ask if you defined the Multiprovider correctly?
BTW, it's better to avoid the using of Multiprovider. Please download and refer to the white paper Power BI and SAP BW (the last one).
Best Regards,
Dale
Hello Dale,
Thank you for your reply.
I have used the multiprovider with another eporting tool of SAP i.e. Advanced analysis for office and it works fine. It's just in Power BI. Ironically, if I try to establish a connect using "Infocube", I can see all the dimensions and key figures. Its only a problem related with multiprovider.
I am wondering if there are any settings or configurations that I might be missing?
Thanks,
Nilima
