M365 usage analytics
I'm hoping to show where people are adopting sharing files in the new M365 cloud world by sending links instead of attachments. Possible to report on # of emails sent with an attachment?
Can anyone provide insight on how to accomplish?
Guidance would be appreciated!
In the PowerBI service using M365 Usage Analytics, I'm trying to track the count of emailed attachements month over month.
We are trying to change people's behavior to email links to files instead of attaching the file, in order to see if we're getting better we must measure. Makes sense?
Thank you for taking time to respond, any suggestions in M365 Usage Analytics?
Hi @EdwardJ88,
Where the shared file are from? Which type of files? These shared files were sent as attachments in the email previously, now do you want to send them in the form of email with file links? Could you please provide some screen shots to further explanation?
In addition, what you want to get is how many emails with shared file attachments in mailbox? You can first create a rule in the mailbox and put this type of mails into the same folder. Then input the text "hasattachments:yes" in search box, the number of eligible emails (Items:XXX) will be displayed in the lower left corner of the page.
If the above information is not what you want, please provide more details to clarify your requirement. Thank you.
Best Regards
Rena
