When we use the "Analyze in excel" button then users cannot make a pivot table with count, it does not allow them to drop any non-summed column into the value field, the pivot function will be used a lot. Any comments?

Hi @Anonymous
Yes this is working as expected. You can only put measures into the values quadrant of a Pivot Table. Implicit measures (measures created in visualisations) don't count. You'll need to create measures in your Datamodel for users to work with in Analyse in Excel.
Hope this helps

Hi. The excel connected to Power Bi Dataset will only allow columns for "Columns and Rows". If you want to use Values in the pivot table you can only drag Measures in there. Adding any column under values for a visualization and make it a Count is a Power Bi Feature that excel won't have. You need to create all measures you think the user might need to help them building pivot tables.
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!
