question regarding the Row level security

I have 2 questions regarding the security

I create a report with 2 tab/sheets. User can change what they want to see. First tab is the summary second is the details. The second tab has a security rules, that I created in the desktop version and I link the users to this roles in the online version:dataset security options. Its working well, A user only see the A related details B the B related details so its ok. Everybody can see the summary (first page)

I share the report to a new user and he is not able to see anything. he has the following error: the visual contains restricted data. In the detailed tab, that is inline with my expectations however I don’t know why he is not able to see the summary? The summary there is no roles/security settings should everybody see it.

Any advice how can I fix it? The new user only need to see the summary tab, not the details

HI @Anonymous ,

I think this should more related to RLS. Before you share report to new users, you need to assign role to them.

Otherwise, it will display error due to unrecognized role settings.

Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI#validating-the-role-within-the-power-bi-service

Notice: if you share to users who has edit permissions, RLS settings will be disabled and they can view all records.
