When I print as pdf, my PDF files end up with a shadow border around the BI report (when background images is enabled). Is there a way around this?
I've played around with different methods on internet explorer and google chrome, and cannot get the border to dissappear.
Hi @PowerBIguy22,
The same issue has been reported recently. The fix should be available in Nov 2017. As a mitigation, please use Firefox or Edge for printing if you don't want the frame.
Regards
Using Edge might work, but not all of my content is displaying when pulling up PBI via Edge vs Chrome. For example, I have a text box with an autopopulated and formatted date that is not showing up (maybe it is because the text box is layered behind another object... regardless there is a problem there). So I can use Chrome, but have the drop shadow, or I can use Edge but not have all my content. Firefox does the same, but is also formatted terribly. (Even Edge isn't formatted all that great.)
There are times when reports and dashboards need to be printed, such as for board and other types of meetings. As great as Power BI is, printing has been a constant frustration of mine since starting to use it nearly two years ago. There is no ability to print from the desktop app, and when you print from the web app I have NEVER been able to make it look exactly like it should, and it's always finicky.
