power bi streaming dataset

My Requirement to create a realtime dashboard and enduser is able to get the data based on some filter as a dropdown, We are getting the data in power bi from stream analytics so that we can always able to get the real time reports. in Power BI we have implemented visuals using Card where we are feeding the data from stream analytics.

Visuals cannot display data after some specified timelines in streamed data mode (for eg: after 5 minutes we can’t able to see any data(as per normal behavior) on any visuals because it is streamed data)

To display the old/previous data(history data) on the visuals instead blanks, we have enabled Historical Data flag to on to hold the historic data under Push Mode(Stream Analytics in Power BI). However with this historical data we can’t able to filter the records to plot the visuals at Power BI (i.e We can filter the data at measures but we can’t use those measures under filter pane like similar usage of columns at filter pane). Because we cannot create any calculated columns/derived subsets/datasets using summarize/group by functions when we connected to stream analytics source.

Is there any way to filter the streamed data like caluculated columns in import mode?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Unfortunately, streaming datasets do not support filtering. For push datasets, you can create a report, filter the report, and then pin the filtered visuals to a dashboard. However, there is no way to change the filter on the visual once it's on the dashboard.
