on-premises datagateway: problems with sync data

At this moment we have different powerbi-datasets which are refreshed by using a on-premises datagateway cluster with 2 servers. Some of the datasets don't refresh automatically. When we do it manually, we can refresh it. So my idea is that the configuration of the gateway is correct (in app.powerbi.com and on the server).

Sometimes, refresh it on another hour can already give a solution. But not always.

How can we get more information about this problem? How can we debug it?

Can it be some time-out? Can it be a problem with network capacity? capacity of our internet connection?

Thanks in advance for any idea.

Not yet solved.

Colleque found on Microsoft support page that 'some users in North Europe may experience intermittent scheduled refresh failues and receive a "Your data gateway is offline or couldn't be reached" error. Engineeers are working on a fix and will provide an ETA soon.

Hi @eddydm,

1. Did you set the scheduled refresh?

2. Can you find something in the refresh history?

3. The scheduled refresh may delay for a while. Please refer to refresh-scheduled-refresh#schedule-refresh.

Scheduled refresh is set.

In the history I found the dutch message 'Uw gegevensgateway is offline of niet bereikbaar'

which means that our gateway is offline or not reachable.

We have a gateway cluster with 2 servers which should be used randomly.

How can we test ourselves if our gateway is online and reachable?

Hi @eddydm,

You can test the data sources in the Gateway settings. Please refer to the snapshot below.

Or you can log in the servers that host Gateways and open the Gateway to see its status.
