new desktop report not showing as report on service, only as dataset

I created a new desktop report from an old one and published it to the service.  In the past, that created a dataset with that report name, as well as a report.  In this case, it only created a new dataset, with no report of that name.  Did I miss something?

Hi @Lori,

"I created a new desktop report from an old one and published it to the service"

Based on my understanding, you updated the report on an existing .pbix file and re-published it to service, right? Did you change the .pbix file name before publishing? If not, it will replace the original one on service, it won't create a new report on service with a new name. Have you checked this?

Yes, I changed the name, saved it to my desktop, made a few changes and then published it.  The new name shows up alongside the old one under the Datasets tab, but not under the Reports tab.

It's now showing under Reports, which is incredibly odd.

Hi @Lori,

Maybe it is a network issue that caused the delay to show new .pbix file name under Reports tab.
