how to receive an alert when the total number of users reaches 10,000.

Hi,

I have created report on Power bi Service and it has 3 visualizations:

KPI: Total number of users

Table: Displays users by country

Line Chart: displays user by year

I need to setup an alert when the total number of users reaches 10,000.

What should i do?

Pin the KPI to a dashboard?

or
Pin the report to a dashboard?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-set-data-alerts

Alerts can only be set on tiles pinned from report visuals, and only on gauges, KPIs and cards. Alerts can be set on visuals created from streaming datasets that have been pinned from a report to a dashboard, but cannot be set on streaming tiles created directly on the dashboard usingAdd tile>Custom streaming data

I would suggest pinning the number value to the dashboard.

You could also use Q&A (Ask a question) to get the value that you require and then pin that to your dashboard?

Once it is pinned you could then create the data alert.

Hi there

I would ideally create a tile which has got the total number of users.

Then once the item is pinned I would then create a data alert for when it goes about 10000
