how to connect sap system through power bi services

Hello,

How to get the SAP system in database connection in Power BI service, I cannot see the SAP system here. Do we need to install on premise gateway in order to get the SAP system here? Or always I should get data from POWER BI desktop and publish to services?

Hi @rangakondapally,

Based on my research, currently we cannot connect to SAP database using Power BI service. You can only get data using Power bi desktop for SAP database. One more thing, the gateway is required for SAP HANA data source if you publish the report to service and want to refresh that. For more details, please check the online document.
