getting error while doing on demand refresh (Datasource : web url)

Hi,

 

In power bi desktop data refresh works fine. After publishing the report into service then  refreshed the data then i am getting this error message.

 

Error message:

 

We're sorry, an error occurred during evaluation.;The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: Table 1.

If i use gateway to manage online service refresh for (web site url) then it working fine. @Greg_Deckler .

 

@vanessafvg  install gateway then try

I am getting a similar error, when updating in power bi desktop its fine, from the service i get this issue.    All data credentials are fine, did you manage to work it out?

Glad you go it working. Interesting that you need a gateway in that circumstance. You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

Hmmm, I could be mistaken but I believe the problem is that the system cannot find the file specified... 🙂

 

Where is the file stored? Do you have a gateway?
