dear respectful power bi gurus,
greetings.
it looks like power bi workspace can be managed by either power bi or office 365.
i found that one of my workspace is managed by office 365 while all others are managed by power bi.
i don't how how this happened since i didn't create that workspace managed by office 365.
i wonder if it is possible to make the workspace currently managed by office 365 managed by power bi?
simply, is it possible to switch the workspace manager from office 365 to power bi?
thank you very much.
best regards,
undergnd

Hi @jkim62 ,
As venal said, the classic workspace can be managed by Power BI and Office 365. However, the new workspace is just managed by Power BI. For now, we can upgrade the classic workspace to the new workspace. For more details, please reference the blog: Announcing: Upgrade your classic workspaces to the new workspace experience public preview is rollin... .

Classic workspace (v1) -- https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-create-workspaces
New workspace (v2) -- https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-create-the-new-workspaces
If you create v1 workspace then one group will create it in O365 groups.
Ex:- Sample (workspace), then same group will be created in O365.
But in v2 it won't create any group and there would be few new roles added.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-new-workspaces#roles-in-the-new-workspaces
As per my understanding you are using v1 workspace as it is by design. we can't change as per the process.
Note:- But there is a feture to migrate from v1 to v2, but it is not available yet. Waiting for the feature. Please refer the below link.
