Hi everyone,
I just signed into PowerBI for the first time. I can only install a few apps though. Lots off app comes up but then disapper nearly straight away and I am only left wth these options: http://tinypic.com/r/oa1bb5/9

That's weird. How did you sign up? I would suggest you clear the browser cache and try again. Or try with other browsers.

I just signed up through my Office365 account. I have tried 2 different browsers and cleared the cache, same result. So strange!

I tested a lot. But I can't reproduce the same issue. If your organization has a Pro account, I would suggest you file a support ticket here.
Maybe you can share some information as the snapshot below shows. I will try to troubleshoot.
Press F12 open the developer mode of the browser. Operate the Power BI.
