can't be used outside your default environment

We completed the configuration.

as default , our login id is located in North America, but our data and servers are in Singalore.

so we selected Southeast Asia area.

we got the following result and we can't find out this gateway on our page of powerbin website.

and you can see the following two functions are unavailable.

1. the following result is because of different location between login id and gateway?

2. how to make these function available?

Hi @suusin,

Based on my research, after a data gateway is created, we can use migrate, restore, or take over an existing gateway (if this option is not available, we can reinstall the on-premise data gateway or install in another another machine) to change region.

Or you can create a new data gateway with default region applied. After we sign in with on-premise data gateway, it choose default region, you can check it via Change Region, it will prompt recommended region.

Hi @suusin,

Based on my research, the on-premise data gateway needs to be deployed to the same region as Power BI service located. Assume the Power BI located in East US 2, the data gateway should be deployed to East US 2 as well.

In your scenario, please check where does Power BI located. Then set the data gateway to be deployed to the same region.
