block sharing in tenant?

Is there anyway to block sharing out of the My Workspace area?

I want all our users to only share things if they are putting them in a workspace, not out of their personal workspace.

Is there anyway to actually enforce that with a setting, etc?

Hi there

Currently this is not possible.

What I do is to use the Power BI Audit logs and create a report page which looks for report audit events where reports are shared.

I then will email the users and ask them to put the reports into an App Workspace and share from the App Workspace.

Are you able to view that report page in Power BI as in you use the audit logs as your data source, or do you mean you use the web interface to view the audit logs and look at them there?

Hi @OneWithQuestion

What you can do is to create a Power BI Dataset and report from the Audit logs.

Then look for the Operation and create a page where it is filtered for shown below. Which is how I got to know who is sharing a report or dashboard.

How are you accessing those audit logs, is there a way to connect Power BI to them directly as a data source or do you have to manually export the audit logs each time you want to refresh them and then import them into Power BI via CSV / Excel?
