analyze in excel dates

Hi,

is it just me that doesnt really know how to work with excel connections to ssas or some PowerBI limitations... I have an issue with dataset -> analyze in excel. The problem is that dates column in excel pivot table are not treated as dates, but as text, so the sorting doesnt work correctly. I have tried both - formating the dates column in dataset as "date" and as "date time", but it seems to have no effect on what I see in excel. I have also tried formating the dates column in Query Editor, but it also does not change what I get in excel.

how should I deal with this?

@modeco In pivot table you can choose Data source order and since in power bi column is date type it will be sorted correctly.
