Hello all,
I use analyze in excel all the time and suddenly (defer layout update) does not function. When selected, you cannot select more fields to put in the values well--so I'm forced to add fields one at a time!!! Sheesh...how can this happen. Anyone else see this? Is there something new to do?
Sometimes the pace Microsoft is doing new things just gets in the way of progress--I find new bugs monthly it seems. This just added hours to creating a model.....yes, I pivot alot of metrics from a large .pbix file.
Thank you,
Tom

Looks like it was repaired...I made a video that shows it not working...couldn't post as the forum was undergoing maintenance. (I have it here if it's useful to you.) Looked to make another video to shorten it up etc. and in making this second one...defer layout update functioned properly.
Anyway, thanks,
Tom
Could you please provide us somes screenshots about it? So that we can make further analysis.
Besides, some features in Power BI are in preview. If you have some issue when using Micrsoft Power BI, you could post it on the issue forum and we will check this issue and fix on the next release.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yes sure and thanks. BTW, I spent a bunch of time a few minutes ago and when I clicked "post" I got a "forum undergoing maintenance" message...and lost my post....not even a way to go back and copy to clipboard. It's a little chaotic there in Microsoft land right now...fixed column widths on matrices get deprecated without warning (yes, that's true!), embedded goes to a completely new version...and requires recoding all the connections and has a new revenue/cost model which is completely different and there is actually no way to estimate capacitiy requirements from embedded v1...just ways to guess, some visuals seems to go haywire with each update (attributes and waterfall with September), this month I lose context on a particular slicer when I use format on a metric in a table.
I LOVE powerbi as do all of us here in powerbi land--it's the future. We all work around these things but I'd welcome some sensible stability to be perfectly candid.
Anyway, I'll post it again,
Tom
