"Export Data" options

Hi,

I have a Power BI report that is meant to be publicly available.  I would like consumer of the report to be able to download the data as displayed in the report, what are the options?

In Power BI webservice, I can "Export Data" to get what I needed.  But, I am the report creator.

I think one way is to give users PowerBI Pro license.  But, it could be costly.

If the report is meant to be publicly available, this is not feasible either.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Hi @dc7669

If you want users to export data in Service, they must have permissions to data . They also need Pro licenses if your content is not in Premium capacity . The cost will be a little high for you .

If exporting data is not necessary, you can collect the required data into a report and share the report content with users using Publish to web without requiring a license. For details, please refer to the following link.

Publish to web from Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

You can also buy an automated license and use the automated visual. In this way, you only needs to pay an additional automatic license, and does not have to bear the money of multiple people's pro licenses .For details, please refer to the following case.

Hi @v-easonf-msft ,

From https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/enterprise/service-premium-what-is#power-bi-premium-genera...

dc7669_0-1648200536584.png

In this link, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/enterprise/service-premium-gen2-what-is, it showed the difference between "P" and "EM" license for Power BI Premium Gen2, which was only available on Mar 9, 2022.

In the above link, it has this graphics:

Is the pricing the same regardless of the Capacity SKUs (i.e. P1-P5)?

From the discussion on this page, it seemed that the "capacity usage" under PowerBI Premium Gen 2 is per report, rather than the total of all reports under an account. So, this should allow user to produce more reports without hitting the capacity limit, right?
