Hi,
I have a date column in my table where the data type is Date as I would like to have drill downs on my charts. Everything seems to work great on Power BI Desktop. Below is a screenshot.
Whenever I publish my report to Power BI Service, the years get a thousand separator and the order is reversed for some reason. Drill down works, though. Here is a screenshot from Power BI Service.
Is this a known bug? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

@Anonymous What I meant was in the Service if you can check what the data type is set to for years in Power BI Desktop.
I am going to guess in that even though your date column is set to date, your Years data type is set to either Whole Number or Decimal Number, and has got the thousands seperator on that?
Hi there
On your data type is it set to Do Not Summarize under Modelling and then Default Sumarization as shown below?
I would then also check the settings in the Service.
Hello,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have checked "Do Not Summarize" and it is fine.
I couldn't find anything related to that in the Service though. Which settings are you talking about?

@GilbertQ It seems like that is the reason. When I view the y-axis properties, years is parsed as "Continuous" variable.\
Changing the type to "Categorical" fixes the dates.
Thank you very much for the help. I guess I have a long way to learn all these little tricks 🙂
@Anonymous not a problem at all, we are all always learning, so glad to assist.
