Hello,
I imported a .XLS file to Power BI from Sharepoint. I wanted to refresh the dataset but I getting the below error whenever I refresh the dataset in Power BI Service,
Excel Workbook: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine 2010 Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read this type of file. To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987.
Too bad that, because I still have many xls to use.
Convert xls to xlsx automatically, only with paid API.
Hi @SivaMani ,
Based on my research, you may check your version of your desktop is same with the Access version and refer to below link:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-access-database-errors
From your error information, you may need to download the 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine 2010 Access Database Engine OLEDB provider for your file.
Regards,
Daniel He
Thanks for your response.
It works well with Power BI desktop. It fails in Power BI Service during on-demand/Schedule refresh.
My source file is located in Onedrive.
Until today, 2022 this has no solution.
Sad.
