The new workspace experience in Power BI is a great feature, along with the tenant administration setting to prevent unauthorized users from creating workspaces. This will make administering and managing the environment much more manageable.
However, this feature and setting does nothing to prevent any workspaces created in Microsoft Teams from still displaying in Power BI. This will end up with a significant number of "workspaces" being available in Power BI, despite not having been created for Power BI and having zero ability for the administrator to edit these workspaces or restrict them in any way. When using an IT-Managed Self-Service approach to Power BI, not being able to restrict which users can create and administer workspaces causes issues.
