Workspace and Report access

Hi guys, another question for you lots!

I would like to give stakeholders access to particular reports in a workspace.

Is the only option to share the report with stakeholder? This would mean they would only have a link to view the report? and wouldnt be able to navigate through the portal and workspace?

I feel like giving stakeholders access to the reports via the share button seems like a difficult thing to manage as the environment grows. Is there a way I can give them access to the workspace and also particular reports?

Thanks

If you share the report using direct access method, they can always navigate to the power bi service, and on the left hand side, select "Shared with me" to see all the reports they have access to

To see how to grant direct access, see the url below and scroll down the the "Managing permissions" section

Hope this helps,

Hi @shyammayhs ,

If you want to share specific report with users, you could simply use share feature. And you can manage permissions to a report

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-share-dashboards

If you want the user to be access to the entire workspace, you could grant them permission to workspace.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-roles-new-workspaces

Also there are several Ways to collaborate and share in Power  .

Best Regards,

Jay
