Will renaming Power BI report on online version affect who can access it?

Hi,

I need to rename a dashboard from V1.0 to V1.1. I have already published it as V1.0 and I was going to rename it on Power BI online.

I have a list of people who can access the dasboard V1.0. If I rename it to V1.1 will they still have the same access? Or will it change because it is called a different name?

Hi there

The good news is that renaming the report will not affect anything.

The reason is that if you look in the URL when you access a report it is saved with a GUID which is always used for the report and not the actual name.
